The hotel itself was lovely the staff were very helpful.all in all a lovely place to stay.
I feel the only thing that let the hotel down was the main road.
staff were friendly , rooms were unsual.
the decooration in the room can be improved and updated. the bathrooms are in need of renovation. otherwise it woudl be a very chanrming place to stay .
The hotel is a family owned 16th century pub/resturant/hotel, it is set on the main road but the noise in the bedroom was minimal because of secondery glazing. The garden is beautiful.
The picture on the TV in the room kept breaking up
The individuality of everything. Great atmosphere, very accommodating staff. Delicious food.
Bathroom outmoded, no shower. Very noisy pipes sometimes when in use by others.
Very Tastefully maintained inkeeping with the 16th Century inn. gardens fantastic and very pleasant to wander through.
The original room we were offered was very small, on request we were transferred to a larger room which was very comfortable. The gardens were beautiful & the food was excellent.
We did not like just having a bath with a hand held shower.
The room was clean if a bit dated. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We arrived with no booking as they had not been notified by Booked.net! They managed to fit us in to a very small Superior room called Margoram that was not really suitable as a double room. There was no bath in the bathroom and the T.V. was on a wall bracket and was too high to watch with any degree of comfort. We later saw other Superior rooms which were the same price but were much larger with a bath and normal T.V. We consider the room was overpriced in comparison to the other rooms but the management would not give us any discount. The breakfast was well cooked and presented but we would have prefered some tomatoes or mushrooms with our egg, bacon & sausage. The restaurant menu was not to our taste so we did not eat in.
Breakfast - would have been better if there was a little more choice to the cooked breakfast, instead of just bacon, egg, and sausage. These were tasty however would have been nice to have more on the plate.
